What's Included...
All hotels for six nights are included. Two nights in Cancun, two nights in Valladolid, and two nights in Puerto Morelos.
Transportation to and from the Airport. Ground transportation to and from the hotels, activities, etc are included. Ferry transportation to and from Isla Mujeres is included.
Flights are not included.

SATURDAY
Your Arrival in Beautiful, Sunny Cancún
Say "Adios" to winter and "Hola" to the warm and
inviting Yucatan Peninsula! Catch an early flight
into Cancún and enjoy an afternoon of sunbathing
on the beach at the fabulous JW Marriott Cancún Resort & Spa.
- BRAG picks you up from the airport and transports you to our first resort.
- Check-in is at 4:00 pm. Feel free to arrive earlier to enjoy the resort, pool, and beach. The front desk will hold your bags.
- Afternoon bike fittings are open in the resort parking lot.
- Evening Happy Hour to kick off an
adventurous week! You will meet your guides for the week, go over the day-to-day flow, and meet new friends on the tour.

ACCOMMODATIONS JW Marriot Cancún
Today we head straight for Isla Mujeres, located 13 kilometers off the coast from Cancún. Isla Mujeres is a vacation destination known for stunning beaches, snorkeling, surrounding coral reefs, and Mayan Ruins.
We'll board our ferry early and meet our guides on the island with our bikes. From there we'll have a 10-mile ride circumnavigating the island. Halfway through, we'll stop at Punta Sur, the southern point. There we will explore a lighthouse, the remains of a Mayan temple, and the most stunning views on the island. We'll learn about the ruins, hike around a bit, and explore.
Continuing on our ride, we'll come to Playa Norte. You can enjoy the beach, go for a dip, and have lunch or a drink at Guru Beach Club. Or you may choose to do some local shopping and partake in street food. After relaxing for a bit, we'll board the ferry and head back to our hotel.

ACCOMMODATIONS El Meson del Marques
Today we check out of the JW Marriot in Cancún and head to the Magic City of Valladolid, a former Colonial stronghold. Our bike ride today explores a couple of the thousands of Yucatan cenotes.
Our first stop on the cycling tour is Xcanahaltun, one of the most peaceful cenotes located almost completely underground.
Afterwards, we pedal on to Cenote Secreto Maya, a beautiful blue jungle oasis. Here we learn how to make a traditional Mayan meal, cool off in the water, and enjoy our lunch.
After checking into our next hotel, you’re on your own to begin exploring the colorful city of Valladolid.

Exploring the ancient ruins of Chichén-Itzá leaves one in amazement of what the Maya People were able to accomplish long before modern machinery, governments, or scientific discoveries.
We will shuttle to Chichén-Itzá and explore the popular UNESCO World Heritage site with our local guide. From there we'll ride our bikes back to Valladolid, visiting charming villages along the way. Our bike tour includes stops in Uayma, Tinum, and Dzitás For dinner, we dine at IX CAT IK for a fun traditional Mayan 4-course meal.

Our last day in Valladolid does not disappoint! Today’s exploration of the City gives us a unique view of Yucatan culture and history. On our bicycle tour through the city, we see the iconic colonial town square, visit a honey farm to see some unique bees, and tour a local Convent.
After the city tour, we will check out of our hotel. You’ll have a chance to grab a bite before we head to the beach in Puerto Morelos!

In the morning we will explore the beautiful seaside village of Puerto Morelos by bike. It is a small port town with a great mix of tourist-related activities and local culture alike. There is a market where you can get local gifts, a plethora of great restaurants, and the second-largest barrier reef in the world. A majority of the day will be free for you to choose what you would like. You can choose from snorkeling, biking around, shopping, or just enjoy the beach or the pool.
To cap off an amazing week, we’ll enjoy a Group Dinner on the Beach and bid, “Farewell”

Yes, please bring them along! Everyone is welcome to participate in the activities outside of riding bikes. We will have a bus to transport anyone who isn't cycling.
Change of Plans? Registrants have until November 1, 2024 to cancel and request a refund. After this date. No refunds will be given, no exceptions. You can purchase insurance on your trip when you register to protect your registration fee in the event of an emergency.
In the event the border closes or the trip is no longer possible, we will offer a refund less Bikereg services fees.
We don't speak Spanish either! We have local guides and knowledgeable people who are bi-lingual. An English-speaking native is always close by. Also, the google translate app is great for text and translating. You don't need to know any Spanish to join and will be just fine only knowing English.

Absolutely not! We would actually suggest a hybrid or bike with wider tires. We do not ride very far so a hybrid bicycle would get the job done just fine. You could also bring a mountain bike, gravel bike or road bike. Keep in mind there will be some gravel, pot holes, speed bumps etc.
The best thing about BRAG is the community of riders. Many come alone and leave with riding buddies for life. You will never ride alone on BRAG. The group is small and participates in all activities together so you will get to know everyone by the time you leave.
Absolutely, on BRAG Mexico, the miles are flat, and few. You can also hop in the Van if you need to.

We highly recommend renting a bike. Flying with a bike is a hassle and you want to be hassle free! If you do fly with your bike, you must be able to assemble and disassemble your bike yourself.
We certainly think so! We traveled there with a newborn and toddler and did this exact itinerary. While certain parts of the country are more known for crime, touristy areas are largely less affected, and most serious crimes are criminal on criminal. Use common sense and good habits.
